8134 - BODY IMAGE ISSUES PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Education

Is the Government considering similar programs aimed at combatting body image issues amongst teenage boys as Victoria?

Answer -

I'm advised that in New South Wales public schools, students learn about body image and self-concept as part of the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) key learning area. PDHPE is mandatory for all students from Kindergarten to Year 10.
