2221 - HUNTER PUBLIC HOUSING PROPERTIES

Hornery, Sonia to the Treasurer representing the Minister for Finance and Services, and Minister for the Illawarra

Given that recent research indicates the Hunter community is waiting longer periods for social housing, will the Minister increase the number of public housing properties in the Hunter?
Answer -

The NSW Government is increasing the supply of social housing, improving existing social housing through upgrades, maintenance and repairs and rejuvenating housing communities, such as large scale housing estates.  Information regarding public housing expenditure is available in the 2012-13 Budget Papers.
