- In the 2006 Census there were 1981 people recorded as homeless in the
Hunter Region.
- Homeless people are able to access a range of services to assist in
finding accommodation through Housing NSW, the Community Housing Sector and
Specialist Homelessness Services.
- The Hunter Regional Homelessness Action Plan is available on the Housing
NSW website. The Plan provides details of homelessness initiatives in the
area.
