shedding lead and the potential lead poisoning of livestock?

pipeline from Chichester to residential Shortland, following the death of a
calf from lead poisoning?

I am advised as follows:
- Some farmers and their livestock have been affected by the contamination
legacy caused by the shedding of the lead collars used to seal the joints along
the Chichester pipeline.
- Hunter Water Corporation has been undertaking testing in its management of
the contamination issue.
