- With reference to the impending closure of the Wallsend Motor Registry
while the facility is converted to a Service NSW branch, will there be staff
redundancies as a result of the closure?
- While the facility is closed, where will residents of the Wallsend be able
to go to utilise Roads and Maritime Services?
|
Answer -

- Staff at the Wallsend Motor Registry were invited to join Service NSW
through a priority assessment process. Service NSW ensured all staff were
appropriately informed so they had every opportunity to put their hands up if
they wished to join Service NSW. This included pre-interview training. If any
staff who are not successful they will have opportunities for temporary
redeployment in the registry network as per business requirements or voluntary
redundancy through Roads and Maritime Services.
- A range of transactions can be carried out online or by visiting the
Wallsend Temporary Motor Registry at 108-110 Nelson Street, Wallsend.
