I am advised:
The new Technical Rescue Vehicles (TRVs) will be equipped to deal with
partial structure collapse rescue, trench rescue, confined space rescue, and
large animal rescue. They also provide additional equipment to assist in
complex transport incidents, bariatric patient handling and incident ground
lighting. This is a capability the current Heavy Rescue Vehicles cannot supply,
as this equipment is normally carried on an Urban Search and Rescue (USAR)
Vehicle. The new TRV makes this equipment available as part of the immediate
incident response.
