  1. For the period covering the first quarter of 2011, how many persons attended the John Hunter Hospital for medical treatment in all categories?
  2. Of this number, how many were treated by the emergency department?
  3. How many were admitted to hospital?
  4. Of the number admitted at question (3), how many patients were transferred to other hospitals?
Answer -

I am advised:

(1) and (2) 93,286 patients attended the John Hunter Hospital for medical treatment from 1 January to 31 March 2011. 16,379 of these patients were treated in the Emergency Department.

(3) and (4) 18,196 patients were admitted to the John Hunter Hospital from 1 January to 31 March 2011. 630 of these patients were transferred to other hospitals.
