I am advised:
- The NSW Ministry of Health monitors waiting times for planned surgery and
for Emergency Department care using nationally agreed measures. These measures
are based on clinically recommended time frames, as determined for each patient
by their medical practitioner.
- All hospitals in NSW use the nationally agreed waiting time measures. The
Bureau of Health Information publishes advice on individual hospital
performance on www.bhi.nsw.gov.auhome
