Answer -
  1. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NSW Enabling) Act provides the core terms and conditions for transferred staff. This includes an employment guarantee period of two years for ongoing staff and up to six months for casual and temporary staff. A transfer payment of up to eight weeks is also payable to ongoing staff. These conditions are designed to ensure retention of skilled disability service staff throughout transfer and the continuity of services.

  2. I am advised staff and their representatives have been briefed on the transfer arrangements and the Department of Family and Community Services holds a monthly disability transfer consultative forum with the Public Service Association.
