Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Transport, and Minister for the Hunter
  1. Will the Minister be awarding contracts to Hunter rolling stock builders to construct any part of the $2.8 billion spend on public transport?
    1. If not, why not?
Answer -

Contracts are issued by Transport for NSW. The contract will be awarded to the most successful tenderer following a rigorous evaluation process.

Australian-based companies, including those with operations in the Hunter, are being given every opportunity to bid for this work.
