The Hunter New England Local Health District provides dementia assessment,
treatment and management to Wallsend residents through a shared-care
community-based model. Some of these services include:

Geriatricians provide consultations either at Community Health Centres, or
in homes or aged care facilities if the patient is unable to attend a community
centre. A clinic is located on the Wallsend Health Campus.

The Cognition Clinic and Memory Disorders Clinic are run from the Rankin
Park Centre.

Neuropsychiatry services are offered from the Calvary Mater Hospital.

The region-wide Living With Dementia program provides education and support
in a peer-group setting for people with early-stage dementia, their carers and
families.
