I provide the following details in response to your questions:
- The Department of Local Government does not collect this information. The
Member for Wallsend may wish to contact the local councils in the Wallsend
electorate directly to ascertain information about how much money is spent on
the removal of graffiti.
- In May 2006 the NSW Attorney General announced a comprehensive strategy
for reducing the incidence of graffiti vandalism. The Member for Wallsend may
wish to contact the Attorney General if she would like further information, as
the Attorney General's Department is the lead agency for the implementation of
the Government's response to graffiti vandalism and administers funding for the
strategy.
