What steps is the Government taking to discourage exploitative practices by
poultry processors involving Taiwanese and Hong Kong nationals?

- I am aware of some disturbing allegations made on the ABC Four Corners
program aired on 4 May 2015 concerning exploitation of foreign workers employed
via 417 visas.
I am advised these matters concern national system employees
and employers.
I note that Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border
Protection, Senator Michaelia Cash, has announced that the Australian Border
Force taskforce will work with the Fair Work Ombudsman in investigating these
important matters.
