Is the Government responsible for the full cost of maintenance dredging of the Swansea Channel?

  1. If not, why not?
  2. If not, who else bears the cost?
Answer -

(1) No.

(a) There is no statutory requirement to do so.

(b) State and local government and key stakeholders.
