The NSW Police Force has advised me:
- The Broadmeadow Commuter Crime Unit (CCU), which patrols the
Newcastle⁄Hunter rail network, has an authorised strength of 21
officers. This Unit is also supported in the south by Brisbane Water
CCU.
- Yes. Transit Police⁄CCUs have been operating successfully for
over twenty years.
