Since the John Hunter Hospital at New Lambton was opened in January 1991:

  1. What is the total amount of funds raised by the hospital volunteers known as the Kookaburra Carers for the Hospital?
  2. What has been the annual amounts received by the hospital from:
    1. the KC gift shop;
    2. other sources?
  3. In general terms, for what purposes are these funds used?
Answer -

I am advised:

  1. Through the amalgamation of the Royal Newcastle Hospital's 'Pink Ladies' and the 'Kookaburra Carers' from John Hunter Hospital in 2006, the 'John Hunter Site Carers' was formed. The total amount of funds raised since 1991 by these combined groups is $2,232,925.65.
  2. (a) and (b) Data prior to 2003⁄04 financial year are not available. It is therefore not possible to respond to this specific question.
  3. The John Hunter Hospital utilises the funds raised by the carers to purchase equipment for the hospital.
