  1. Does the Government plan to build an overpass bridge connecting Newcastle's Stewart Avenue and Hannell Street?
  2. If not, does it have any other plans to alleviate congestion at this intersection?
Answer -

I am advised:

The Government has no plans to build an overpass bridge between Stewart Avenue and Hannell Street.

A Scoping Study is being undertaken to establish a more detailed project plan, including alternative transport arrangements for all modes of transport in the Newcastle City Centre.
