6350 - DRIVER LICENCE TESTING OFFICERS

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Finance and Services
  1. Has there been a reduction in the number of testing officers conducting driving tests for P1 licences at the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) centres in the Newcastle, Charlestown and Wallsend electorates?
  2. Has the reduction in full-time equivalent (FTE) RMS staff from 3900 in 2011-12 to 3074 in 2013-14 resulted in a reduced number of testing officers?
    1. If so, is this reduction in testing officer numbers a result of efficiency savings?
Answer -

There has been some natural attrition in driver tester ranks in the Hunter region. Importantly customers have not been impacted.
