That this House:
(1) Notes that renters in New South Wales are being increasingly pushed into using third party services to pay their rent and apply for rental properties.
(2) Notes with concern that renters are being forced to choose between housing security and handing over vast amounts of personal and sensitive information to private companies.
(3) Calls on the Government to put an end to intrusive rental applications, strengthen data protections for renters, and investigate real estate agents' pervasive use of third party services.
