To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly,
This petition of residents of Ourimbah and the Central Coast calls on the University of Newcastle to return to the community the land at 1A Jaques St, Ourimbah. The land is home to a Nissen Hut called ‘the hangar’ and a public toilet, which were handed over to the University for use in the 1990s. Now, the University has no further use for the site.
This petition therefore ask the Legislative Assembly to call on the Government to call on the Central Coast Council to take possession of the land on behalf of the community.
