To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, this petition of concerned residents brings to the attention of the House our community’s strong opposition to the Berejiklian Government’s mislaying of our local bus network with a privatisation-ready system that reduces access to major centres and lengthens commutes by forcing passengers to take multiple services. Such changes unfairly impact elderly commuters and residents with mobility challenges.
We petition the NSW Government to:
• Abandon their planned full PRIVATISATION of our bus network
• Withdraw plans to CANCEL buses to Sydney’s CDB, including the 302, 309X, 310X, 338, 372, 373, 376, 377, 391, 393, 394, 395, L94, X40, X90 & X99 routes
• Withdraw plans to CANCEL Bondi Junction bus services, including the 314, 316, 317, 353, 357, 400 & 400N routes
• Withdraw plans to CUT SHORT bus services to major centres, including:
o Westfield Eastgardens: 301, 302, 420 & X92
o Circular Quay: 392, 374, 374X & 397
o Bondi Junction: 348 & 397
o Other REDUCED bus services: 303, 307, 309, 320, 339, 339X, 343, 370, 377, 418 & 420 bus services
