To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, I urge our state Government for New South Wales and our Federal Government to discontinue military involvement in patrolling our streets during lockdown. Our minimal freedom's are being taken away and our right to privacy being diminished, see Privacy Act (1988).
According to the Bio Security Act (2015 ) we are not to be forced into self isolation unless subject to bio security control order. Please note as per page 72 of the Bio Security Act (2015); "The following officers may impose a human biosecurity control
order on an individual:
(a) a chief human biosecurity officer;
(b) a human biosecurity officer;
(c) a biosecurity officer". Please also note as per the Australian Human Rights Commission Act (1986), Article 17;
"1. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary or unlawful interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to unlawful attacks on his honour and reputation." (p. 113) and lastly, please see the Australian Human Rights Commission Act (1986) Section 3; "Considering the obligation of States under the Charter of the United Nations to promote universal respect for, and observance of, human rights and freedoms" (p. 105).
As per the above laws I have referenced, these laws supercede State law as they are Australian Federal Laws. It is with a plea from one human to another that we request to have our rights and freedom's upheld with the aim to be independent in upholding required restrictions of our own volition.
