To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly,
This petition has been created by Pyrmont Peninsula Public Transport Forum, which represents public transport users in Pyrmont/Ultimo and seeks improvements and better connectivity.
Issues:
389 - bus stop removed from King St Sydney. Passengers cannot disembark the bus between Allen St Pyrmont and Park St in the city. No access to the centre of the city.
389 - bus stop removed from Maritime Museum in Pyrmont with no replacement. No convenient connection for passengers to access Pyrmont Bay Ferry or Tram.
F10 - Ferry stop not reinstated to Pirrama Park Wharf after COVID, making it difficult to travel to Glebe or Barangaroo for work/recreation. Ferry passes by without collecting paying passengers.
No public transport to or from Pyrmont after midnight and before 5:00am. This is unsafe. People are resorting to taxis. Those that can’t afford a taxi walk home at night.
No bus to Broadway shopping centre, Universities, hospital service in Missenden Rd, Glebe shops, or the new Sydney Fish Market.
This petition asks the Legislative Assembly to call on the Government to implement the following:
1. Bus in York St, (preferably at 32 York St).
2. Bus stop in Murray St.
3. Return of the F10 ferry stop to Pirrama Park.
4. Resumption of all night hourly tram services on the Dulwich Hill Line.
5. A new bus service to link with Broadway shopping center, Missenden Rd, Glebe shops and the new Sydney Fish Market when it opens.
