That in view of the answers given by the Minister for Juvenile Justice at the estimates hearing held on Thursday 16 September 2004, this House requests General Purpose Standing Committee No. 3 to meet for the purpose of hearing evidence from youth workers and staff at Kariong Detention Centre. That for the purposes of these hearings, the committee has leave to sit during the sittings of the House. That the following witnesses be invited to appear before the committee: Mr Dale Bassett Mr Scott Bell Ms Helen Egan Ms Kim Emmerson Mr Luke Falconer Mr Brian Fitzpatrick Mr Mark Fitzpatrick Mr Peter Hawthorne Mr Andrew Makay Mr David Maryska Mr Michael Pedavoli Mr Mitch Walsh Mr Greg Jones Mr Byron Hill Mr Tony Hansen Mr Gary Hall That additional witnesses may be called by order of the committee.
