tobacco smoking in New South Wales, and in particular:
(a) the costs and other impacts of smoking,
(b) the effectiveness of strategies to reduce tobacco use,
(c) the effects of smoke-free indoor venues on the initiation and
maintenance of the smoking habit,
(d) factors affecting initiatives for smoke-free indoor areas,
(e) the effectiveness of media, educative, community and medically-based
Quit initiatives,
(f) the adequacy of the budget for smoking control initiatives, and
(g) the Smoke-free Environment Amendment (Motor Vehicle Prohibition)
Bill 2005 introduced by Revd Mr Nile in the Legislative Council.
2. That the committee report by 30 June 2006.
