This inquiry was established on 30 May 2019 to inquire and report on the Crimes (Appeal and Review) Amendment (Double Jeopardy) Bill 2019.
This inquiry is limited to examining the legal implications of the proposed amendments in the Crimes (Appeal and Review) Amendment (Double Jeopardy) Bill 2019. It will not be canvassing issues covered in the committee's 2014 inquiry into the family response to the murders in Bowraville.
