Corrections: Seaver was Free Trade MP for Gloucester. Hughes and Graham (1975) list him as a protectionist. However, he described himself as a 'staunch' Free Trader (SMH 10 June, p.2 col.5), stating his main reason for contesting St Leonards being his desire to oppose the leadership of Henry Parkes. Not making any 'official' lists, he is shown as Independent Free Trade. The SMH listed him as an Opposition candidate.
