Notes: Sitting MP Thomas Garratt contested and won election for Shoalhaven. This was the fourth seat contested by James Martin at the 1864-5 election. He was nominated for a fifth seat in Lachlan which he won four days after Monaro. Martin resigned from Monaro to represent Lachlan.
