Source: Tamworth Examiner, report of nominations 29 June 1859, pp.4-5, booth results and totals reported 13 July, p.2 col.4, official declaration 20 July, p.2 col.4 simply referring to figures previously published in a 'supplement', a page which does not appear on the State Library microfilm. Alternate totals with Loder on 381 reported in the Maitland Mercury, 12 July, p.3 col.1, crediting 'the guard of the last up-country mail'. Result repeated in SMH 13 July 1859, p.4 col.5, reported pending the DOP and quoting the Maitland Mercury. A report of the offical declaration of poll could not be found, but totals are clearly close to complete given their similarity to the total of votes reported in the Statistical Register.
