Discover the captivating work of artist Zeina Saadie in her upcoming exhibition Tangled Unityon display in the Parliament’s Fountain Court throughout February.

The free exhibition features a body of mixed media paintings ranging from figurative to impressionistic styles, with many pieces newly created for the exhibition. Together, the works in Tangled Unity invite viewers to contemplate the connections and synergies that exist between our memories, dreams and present surroundings.

Born to a family of art collectors, Zeina Saadie was raised in Lebanon, where she found solace and expression through art amidst ongoing military conflicts. After relocating to Sydney in 1999, Zeina immersed herself in the artistic scene of her new homeembracing some of the unique influences, styles and characteristics of Australian art in her own practice

Zeina’s artworks comprise of intricate layers of mixed media components on canvas, merging conscious and subconscious elements. Within palettes of ‘healing’ coloursbold marks and textures depict figures, the varied landscapes of Lebanon and Australia, or the dreamscapes of her imagination.

Tangled Unity is being hosted at NSW Parliament by the Hon Anthony Roberts MP, Member for Lane Cove.
