​In this paper election analyst Antony Green summarises the results of the 2019 election for 21 members to serve in the New South Wales Legislative Council. It provides detailed analysis of the 2019 Legislative Council election, with breakdown of above and below the line voting, of the distribution of preferences, as well as detailed Legislative Council party results by lower house electorates.

The paper also includes an appendix with information about the 2023 Legislative Council, including details of parties registered to contest the 2023 election, the voting process in the Legislative Council, and commentary about possible results in the Legislative Council based on the results of the 2019 and 2022 NSW Senate elections.
