Grazier and company director. Educated at Scots College in Sydney. Worked on family property at Mahonga in Albury then to Winderadeen and Collector. Managed both properties until c.1954; returned to Sydney and supervised the management of Winderadeen until sold in 1970; chairman of Mahonga Pty Limited, Winderadeen Pty Limited, Australian Factors Limited, George Armstrong and Son Pty Limited, Palgrave Corporation Limited, Landmark Corporation.
