Grain, Insurance and Agency Company Limited from 1926, chairman and managing director from 1950 until 1962; president of Forbes Pastoral Agricultural and Horticultural Association for four years; member of Forbes and District Chamber of Commerce; member of Farmers and Settlers Association. Chairman of Forbes branch of Graziers Association of New South Wales; vice chairman of Dubbo War Agricultural committee; New South Wales Executive Boy Scouts Association. Recreational pursuits include tennis and swimming.
