For nearly forty years the NSW Parliamentary Former Members Association (FMA) has been bringing allies and rivals together to catch up and look back at the good times that are unique to a career in public life.
The Former Members Association will ensure that you keep in touch with former and current colleagues and be updated about our social events throughout the year. Members and Associates (usually partners of Former Members) enjoy discounted entry to social events and activities if there is a cost involved.
The Former Members Association is absolutely non-partisan and administered by a cross-party Executive elected by the Members.
In the last year the Former Members Association sponsored a number of well attended social and networking events, including:
• a behind the scenes tour of the Western Sydney Airport
• an informal lunch at the historic and newly refurbished Log Cabin Restaurant on the banks of the Nepean River, Penrith
• a day out at the Easter Show with a lunch in the RAS members restaurant
• a catch up with current members of the NSW Parliament on a sitting night for a drinks event in the Speakers Garden
• an annual Christmas function at NSW Parliament House.
Membership is available via a one-time Life Membership fee.
A donation to a NSW children’s charity is made every year at each Annual General Meeting.

| The NSW Parliament Rose
The NSW Parliament Rose was propagated in 2018 by Swane’s nursery exclusively for the Former Members Association.
A rose is sent to the surviving partners of former members in appreciation of that family’s contribution to the betterment of the state of NSW. But anyone can have the NSW Parliament rose for their gardens.
It is available for purchase through the Former Members Association for $45 including delivery. |
