(1) How much of the $20m (part of $60m recurrent expenditure over three years) provided for 300 new housing sector pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships and cadetships to provide careers pathways for young people and social housing tenants was spent in the 2020-2021 Financial Year?

(a) How many people did this expenditure assist?

(b) How many pre-apprenticeships were delivered?

(c) How many apprenticeships were delivered?

(d) How many cadetships were delivered?

Answer -

I am advised:

(1) $8.532 million (GST exclusive) was spent in the 2020-2021 Financial Year.

(a) 143 people commenced in the Apprenticeships Program.

(b) The Pre-Apprenticeships Project is being delivered over three years from July 2021.

(c) 121 apprenticeships have started in jobs connected to training.

(d) 22 cadets have started in jobs connected to training.
