6006 - HUNTER NEW ENGLAND HEALTH

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Health, and Minister for Medical Research
  1. Will Hunter New England Health follow up with patients who attended the now defunct generalist counselling service to ensure that they have transitioned successfully into a new service?
    1. If not, why not?
Answer -

I am advised:

Prior to the transition of services in July 2014, counsellors spoke with each client individually about the most appropriate options for their ongoing care and facilitated referrals as necessary dependent on each client's needs.

The Hunter New England Local Health District considers the transition of clients successful.
