To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly,
This Petition from the citizens of the Upper Hunter electorate and residents of regional NSW brings to the attention of the House that on 14 January 2025, the NSW Labor Government revealed more than 100 jobs would be cut as part of the merger of Sydney Trains and regional operator NSW Trains, to fund a one per cent pay rise for members of the RTBU.
We the undersigned petitioners therefore ask the Legislative Assembly to call on the Minns Labor Government to:
A) retain all regional train services.
B) reverse its decision to axe more than 100 jobs as part of the merger of Sydney Trains and regional operator NSW Trains.
