To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly,
The undersigned petitioners, are asking for the 6 local sacred cemeteries Georges Plains, Trunkey, Rockley, Hill End Tambaroora, Peel and Sofala to remain open. Within these cemeteries are First Settler, War Veterans and community members past and present.
We ask the Legislative Assembly to call on the government to assist the many community members who have family and friends within the above 6 local cemeteries to remove the Bathurst Regional Council's current pause on Burials.
