To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, of New South Wales.
The Petition of Red Bus Services drivers, staff and other residents of the Central Coast, NSW brings to the attention of the Legislative Assembly the NSW Government of supporting Red Bus Services in a fair go to maintain the region 7 Central Coast contract which has been put out to tender and opened up for a multinational company to come in and take the contract away.
The people of the Central Coast would like Red Bus Services to maintain the region 7 Central Coast contract. Region 7 contract needs to stay with Red Bus Services family owned business as it has successfully operated for over 80 years. Supporting the Central Coast by employing over 160 locals and running a fleet of over 103 buses and supporting many charities.
We, the undersigned petitioners therefore ask that the NSW Government back us in doing everything possible to stop Red Bus Services from being stripped of the Region 7 contract and ensuring they are given a fair go.
