Administrative funding for minor parties

This inquiry was established on 13 June 2012 to inquire into and report upon matters relating to the administrative funding for minor parties. Background note: Public funding of eligible parties for administrative expenditure is provided for by section 97E of the Election Funding, Expenditure and Disclosures Act 1981.

The Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters is to inquire into and report upon matters relating to the administrative funding for minor parties and specifically the annual amount to be distributed from the Administration Fund to eligible minor parties.
