Qualifications, occupations and interests
Wheelwright and estate agent. Moved to Broken Hill around 1888 where employed as a coach builder and also a regular contributor to the labour newspaper the 'Barrier Truth'. Moved to Sydney after being appointed to the Legislative Council and started a real estate business in Newtown in 1906. Freemason. President of Eight Hour Day committee, Australian Workers' Union, trustee from 1908 until 1910, Amalgamated Miners' Association. Barrier District Australasian Labor federation; vice president of Citizens Referendum Six O'Clock Association in 1916.

Son of Richard Buzacott, a farmer, and Margaret McKinnon. Married Catherine Casella in December 1915 and had issue 1 son and 3 daughters. Methodist. Burial at Rookwood Cemetery after funeral from Hurlstone Park Methodist Church.
