Qualifications, occupations and interests
Building Society Manager and Company Director. Entered Wesley Missionary College in Surrey. Missionary in Fiji for 10 years. Went to New South Wales c.1871 on account of wife's health; appointed Minister at Armidale in 1872, Chippendale in 1875, Goulburn in 1878. Resigned from Ministry in 1883 and became manager of building society in Goulburn. May also have been land and financial agent. Director of Windellema Gold Mine and of Goulburn Foundry and Engineering Company. Member of first Goulburn Land Board.
