Cause Category: Death
Notes: Caused by the death of T.R.Moxham. Given the wartime political truce had fallen apart at previous by-elections, Labor chose to nominate a candidate. This may not have been wise, as the Liberal candidate Bruntnell had the full backing of the Temperance movement and won the by-election easily. (Evatt pp281-2)
