Cause Category: Resignation - Financial difficulties
Notes: Facing financial difficulties, Robertson resigned as Premier in January and resigned from Parliament in finacial difficulty on 22 February. He re-contested and won the by-election, financial problems having been helped by the setting up of a testimonial fund by supporters. (McMinn p.91, in Clune and Turner, 'The Premiers of NSW', Vol.1)
