Source: SMH 5 May 1856, p.4 col.6, reprinting results from Armidale Express. Incomplete totals published in SMH election summary, 30 April, p.5 col.1. Maitland Mercury report of nominations, 12 April p.2 col.2-3, extracted from Armidale Express,
Corrections: 1857 Blue Book reports 386 people voting, which is the same value as the number of votes. Given this was a two member seat and the enrolment only 461, the Blue Book entry has been ignored as in error.
