Profiles of Members of Parliament

Hansard
Hansard is the official record of the debates in the Chambers of Parliament.
A proof daily transcript is published on this site on the same day, about 3 hours after the last House rises. Around 10 a.m. the next day the daily transcript is indexed, making the individual items of business within Hansard available from the
Hansard by Bill,
Hansard by Speaker pages. Around two weeks after a sitting, a corrected copy replaces the proof.
Hansard from the start of the 46th Parliament (November 1978) onwards, is available online. Selected earlier reports of debates are also available online going back to 1824 - see
other indexes to records of legislative proceedings.

Legislative Council House Papers
These are records prepared by the Legislative Council Procedure Office which document the issues before the Legislative Council at any given time. They include a daily program, minutes, written questions on notice asked by Members and any answers given.
- The Notice Paper for a sitting day is published on the preceding sitting day, shortly after the House rises.
- Minutes and any Statutory Rules & Instruments Laid Upon the Table for a sitting day are published on the day, shortly after the House rises.
House Papers from the start of the 50th Parliament (September 1991) onwards, are available online.

These are records prepared by the Legislative Assembly Procedure Office which document the issues before the Legislative Assembly at any given time. They include a daily program, the result of any votes, written questions on notice asked by Members and any answers given.

- Votes, any Statutory Instruments Laid Upon the Table, and an index of Tabled Papers for a sitting day are published on the day, shortly after the House rises.

Parliamentary Committee Records
Records of all committees, inquiries and reports dating from September 1999 onwards, are available from this site. Some committees have also made available key records dating back to 1991.
Records are published on this site by each individual committee. For records regarding a specific committee, contact the committee you are interested in. Contact details are available from the index of
Committee profiles.
Bills
Details of bills introduced from 1997 onwards, are available online. However, a PDF copy of the text of a Bill is only available for Bills introduced since 1999. The Parliament does not publish draft bills. Notice may be given of a bill before it is introduced into Parliament. For information on these bills contact the office of the Minister or Member who is initiating the bill.
