About the Program

The working in the Legislative Council program is a 12-week professional development initiative offered to outstanding departmental officers who want to gain first-hand experience of the operations of Parliament, including Legislative Council committees and the annual Budget Estimates process. This year the program runs from late July to mid October 2013.

The successful applicant will be assigned to a Legislative Council committee secretariat and will play a major role in the administration of the 2013-2014 Budget Estimates hearings scheduled for August 2013.
