Department of Parliamentary Services

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a service department that supports the work of the Parliament.

DPS is the principal support agency for Parliament House — a building where more than 1,000 people work on sitting days and which over 50,000 visitors visit each year. DPS works closely with the Department of the Legislative Council and Department of the Legislative Assembly to support the operations of the Parliament and its Committees. 

As well as its responsibility for the building, DPS provides Hansard and broadcasting services for the Parliament, and IT, library and research services to members of Parliament, parliamentary committees, and other building occupants.
