The Hon. Dr B. P. V. PEZZUTTI: My question without notice is directed to the Minister for Community Services, representing the Minister for Health. Is the Minister aware of the vote of no confidence by 80 leading cancer researchers in Professor Saltzman and the new board of the Cancer Council? What will the Minister do to ensure that Cancer Council research funds are allocated in a competitive peer review fashion? What will the Minister do to ensure that any new donations to the Cancer Council will be used for the research that people understand it is being used for? Will the Minister ensure that any new direction in Cancer Council funding for research will be subject to scrutiny by the people of New South Wales?
