BLUE LAGOON BEACH DEVELOPMENT
The Hon. R. S. L. JONES: I ask the Minister for Planning and Minister for Housing, representing the Minister for Land and Water Conservation why he and his department approved an illegal development by Kelvest Pty Limited at Blue Lagoon Beach. Why was the Minister not aware that this development was illegal under the 7d coastal lands protection zone? Are officers of the Department of Conservation and Land Management at this moment bulldozing dunes on this site in contravention of section 76 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and also in contravention of clauses 29 and 30 of the Crown lands lease granted to Kelvest Pty Limited? Will the Minister please have this matter investigated immediately?
